Okay, here we go with my ten tips about simple outfits you can’t go wrong with. I hope you enjoy them, don’t forget to subscribe if you like this type of content, and be the first one to know about new posts.
1. Sweater On Shoulders
Having a simple sweater or sweatshirt over your shoulders isn’t only super helpful to carry because if you are a little like me, even during summer, some indoor places have the a/c way too chilly, but it also looks intentionally chic. Having your sweater like that also relaxes the outfit a ton. If you wear a dress, it balances the outfit by looking more effortless. Also, it doesn’t really matter the type of sweater, it can be a buttoned cardigan, sweatshirt, or super cute knit sweater. I found super cute light sweaters for this Spring-Summer. As always, I would love to know if you try any of these, so we all know if you recommend them or not.
2. Matching Shoes And Bag
This one is pretty obvious, but sometimes we avoid it cause we don’t want to be too matchy-matchy, but when wearing something simple like a white t-shirt and jeans. Then adding black shoes and a black bag really ties the outfit together, making it look effortlessly cohesive. I also love the white top, black jeans with beige shoes and bag option. I know they are all neutral styles, but this would, of course, apply to any color of your preference.
3. Head Accessories
I’m always a bit hesitant about hair accessories, but I found a brown leather scrunchie from Express, and I think it looks super cute with an all-black outfit. I think it’s an effortless way to add a little something extra special to a basic outfit. I love that it can be something so minimal but really make the whole style extra cute or extra cute depending on the hair accessory, of course.
4. Oversized Shirt Half Tucked In
It’s incredible how a simple white shirt can look super chic by making it half-tucked in. I think that when you embrace details like that, you look extra confident even when wearing a super simple outfit. This tip is perfect for a must-have white linen shirt during summer that can be worn with shorts, jeans, a skirt, pretty much any bottom. And, I would do a more silky shirt option during fall.
5. Effortless Black Sandals
I found a low heel black sandal super chic and perfect to wear in lots of events. It elevates your simple jeans outfit without looking over the top when picking up the kids from school or going for coffee, day date, etc. This type of low heel also looks super feminine even when wearing a super casual oversized outfit. I’ve been wearing these sandals on the photo from MANGO for a while, and I love my outfit every single time. As usual, I did my research for more cute options and linked them for you here.
6. Oversized Blazer On Shoulders
Having an oversized blazer on your shoulders can make you look like a cool influencer, but make sure the blazer isn’t too tight cause it can fall off the shoulders constantly and look tight, and that’s not cute. I will sometimes borrow my husband’s blazer if my outfit requires a more oversized blazer, which works perfectly fine.
7. Shirt Dresses
The shirt dress is so trendy and timeless all the same time. It super cute and feminine and perfect for a date when you don’t want to show too much on the top. This one is from Zara and I love draped situation, makes the dress a little more fun, having that balance with the seriousness of the collar.
8. Padded Shoulder Top
The padded shoulder top it’s the upgrade for the basic t-shirt, literally the cool kid in the basics. All you need is your simple favorite bottoms and accessories. I love that this top can be worn super casually to a night date with some dressy skirt or pants and adds edge to your night outfit. I’ve also worn a more casual fabric version for the gym, looking super cute, and I mean, it is called something like the padded shoulder muscle top, after all. So this top is a great example for a basic outfit that can be worn in pretty much any situation.
9. Basket Bag
During Summer, I love a cute basket bag. It makes the whole basic outfit automatically cute. There are so many different shapes and sizes. If you are up for a big bag, you can fit in a beach towel and look chic all day long while being prepared for your pool time.
10. One Shoulder Tops
The one shoulder top is a basic top that it’s instantly both feminine and cool. I love that it is such a basic top, but by being one shoulder, it automatically has an extra little something else that makes your outfit more put together. I found this basic version on Amazon, and I have to say it’s not bad at all. I’m still searching for a more dressy fabric option, so I’m linking a few options here.
This post was all about simple outfits that just need a little something else to make them look super chic and effortlessly stylish. Some of the tips are amazing to mix and match with items we already have in our wardrobe, and others are fundamental cute items that you can invest in and wear most of the year.
Here are my finds on simple one-piece items that only need your favorite essential accessories, and off you go because there’s nothing easier than having that amazing jumpsuit or dress that goes with everything. It’s so easy to style, especially during days when you don’t have much time to decide what to wear, so these are excellent pieces to have in your wardrobe.
