If there is something that divides real Parisian style outfits from more touristy ones, it is that real Parisians tend to lean more toward simplicity and comfort. At least, that’s what I have observed, so I’ll be sharing seven Parisian style clothes that are super easy to put together.
I love chic Parisian style outfits because they are a great mix of super feminine and effortless. I love how casual looks can still look very sophisticated and pretty.
1 Pointy Or Square Toe Shoes
We have often seen classic fashion illustrations with pointy shoes that make the entire style elongated and fashionable. And although right now, shoes that are on trend are all over the styles, this classic low heel pointy shoe is a forever staple in the Parisian style world. The square toe with a block heel is also a Parisian style, but I prefer the pointy option for now. I really like the black suede option. It can really go with so many outfits, and I can wear them with jeans, a midi skirt, or a dress for a more formal chic option.
2 Parisian Style Hair Bow
The velvet bow is such a cute accessory, especially for Fall and Winter, this is a perfect choice for those days when I feel more feminine, and I love that it is the kind of detail you can just wear with jeans and a simple long-sleeve leotard. My favorite way to wear this kind of bow is with a low-key half ponytail, but when feeling extra girly, I would wear it with a high ponytail. I found so many pretty options on Amazon that come in many colors and other fabrics that are more suitable for Spring and Summer.
3 Low Back Leotard
There is nothing more feminine for me than having ballerina vibes, and a good low-back leotard can do the job while looking effortlessly pretty. This is a great piece to have for a good Parisian style outfit, and it is super timeless for many years to go. Another top that looks super feminine and looks amazing with basic jeans is the wide square neckline top. I’m attaching my finds for a quick look.
4 Parisian Style Clothes
This Parisian style piece is more Fall Winter related, but I think wearing tights with shorts looks adorable, especially if you have a matching blazer. This specific outfit is from my own clothing line, and it’s out of stock, but I had to show it and share my other finds.
5 Parisian Style Pattern Dress
The other day I saw this Reel on Instagram of a woman wearing a sweet midi pattern dress while riding a skateboard. It looked so effortless and beautiful. Not sure if the woman was French, but the Reel had French music vibes, and I think that was a good representation of the whole Parisian style, like the make sure they look stylish but not in an exaggerated way, and that doesn’t stop them from doing lots of things, walking a lot, and just staying active. And I think that is a big part of the reason why the Parisian Style is so attractive, they look effortlessly great, and they are living life and enjoying the little things, if that makes sense. Obviously, I don’t know exactly, and not every French person would meet those dreamy standards, but that is the inspiration I am taking when forming my Parisian style outfits.
6 The Obvious Parisian Stripes
Yes, stripes are the obvious item when we think French style, or Parisian style, but they don’t care; they look adorable, always. The other day I wore my striped top with a cape blazer, and I loved it like not super showing all the stripes but bits of it. It made the outfit a bit more interesting.
7 No high heels
I have noticed that it would take a lot for Parisian women to wear super high heels. Even for dressy events, they would lean towards a low heels, which doesn’t stop them from looking beautiful and stylish. If anything, it makes them look more confident by being more comfortable, and that is a look I want to adapt to my dressy evening lately. I wore a lot of high heels in my 20s, and I loved it, but my feet suffered the consequences after a few hours of wearing them, so now that I am in my 30s, I am proud of going places being more comfortable, plus adopting that super cute Parisian style.
