If you are looking for work outfits for women that are both effortless, classic, and trendy all at the same time, this blog post is for you! I came up with a list of ten work outfit ideas perfect for business casual dresses, women business casual tops, business casual women 2022, and trendy professional clothes.
I have a very neutral style, but that doesn’t mean that it has to be boring. Sometimes is in the little details where we get that super stylish touch that balances our style and trends.
Now, let’s jump into these ten looks I created mainly for summer or transitional weather, but not to worry if you are reading this post during Fall-Winter, because I’ll write the version for it. Don’t forget to check out my latest blog posts to find it, and subscribe to my email list to be the first to get the latest on outfit ideas and fashion trends.
1 Blazer chic outfit
Going for a blazer option might seem like the obvious choice for a work outfit, but this can be done in a super chic way, even more so because blazers are so in trend right now, even for people who don’t actually work in an office. I created this look with the super chic stirrup leggings, ensuring the blazer is long enough to cover my bottom, so it doesn’t look too unprofessional. In addition, I wanted this look to have the white loafers, which are in trend right now, complimenting that comfortable young professional look. These chunkier loafers are an excellent choice when you don’t want to wear sneakers or high heels. They can be elevated in a professional environment and have that comfortable and effortless look.
2 Knitted tops for a unique look
Wearing a light monochromatic outfit during Summer justifies the black accessories and shoes. I think a sleeveless knit top can be incredibly chic when wearing it during Summer, that is if you are going straight to the office where it is cool anyways, and wearing it with pants balances the whole sleeveless situation. I love this look with the solid wide-leg pants, the knitted top adds texture, and the black square bag gives it that young professional look. Matching it with black sandals finishes the chic look, but if you aren’t allowed to wear open toes shoes at work, I will wear maybe straight-leg pants with a pointy low heel shoe.
3 Parisian-style vibes
Every time I wear these black pointy shoes with a low heel, I feel like a cute Parisian fashion illustration. This type of outfit is so effortless. It feels light, chic, and feminine, keeping a professional look. I would wear this outfit so many days people would get tired of looking at me, but it really is one of those signature outfits you can’t go wrong with.
4 Black midi skirt outfit
When feeling like wearing a black midi skirt, I like to balance it with a cardigan and dress it down with these feminine white pointy flats. I added the white top to match the shoes and color block neutrally. This outfit is perfect for those days when I feel extra feminine, and you have that transitional weather where a light cardigan is a perfect choice.
5 White vest outfit
This is my favorite look, and I see myself wearing it on so many occasions. The sheer sleeves are incredibly chic and fun, but I add the professional look with the tailored vest. This is a perfect outfit when thinking of meeting for a drink after work, looking super stylish in a comfortable way.
6 Mini skirt outfit
A great way to wear a mini skirt without going sexy at work is by wearing it with an oversized top. Also, I would wear balance the sexiness with chunky black loafers, or if I want to add edge combat boots would be a great choice. Although, If I go for combat boots, I will button up my shirt all the way to keep the professional balance with creativity. Finally, a cute low ponytail could make this outfit incredibly cute and more put together.
7 French style outfit
Whenever I feel like I’m going a little too neutral with my outfit, I add some stripes to give it something else, and most of the time, it works perfectly. This is one of those classic outfits you can’t go wrong with, and the Parisian vibes make me want to stop by the store and get flowers and baguettes after work.
8 All black, always
A great way for me to wear black during Summer is to brighten the outfit with white shoes and accessories. A black and white outfit is such a classic option for those days when I’m not sure what to wear, and this stays true to my style. Also, if I’m feeling it, I add red lipstick, and I’m ready to go. Finally, black linen pants are just amazing for Summer, it’s such a light fabric, and it justifies the all-black outfit during hot weather.
9 Casual work day outfit
Speaking of stripes, this is another way to incorporate stripes more subtly. I love a good strong black blazer. I would wear it at least once a week in a work office. I love to tone the blazer down with jeans and add those pointy shoes for some feminine vibes. If your office’s dress code doesn’t allow wearing jeans, I would wear this outfit with some beige trousers and get an adorable look.
10 Neutral relaxed outfit
Midi skirts are perfect when I don’t feel like fitting in my jeans or want that summer breeze. I like to make it less serious or formal by wearing it with a loose t-shirt. During Summer, I would wear this outfit with strappy sandals. If this is not permitted at work, some pointy flats will do great, and I would probably listen to Grease songs all day.
For some reason, I didn’t incorporate business casual dresses on this list. Still, I’m sharing some super cute finds, some that could be worn with a powerful blazer and others that are just amazing on their own, and all you have to do is accessorize minimally, perfect for work outfits for women.
